Brooklyn Granary & Mill (BGM) connects New Yorkers with stone milled whole grains grown on regional regenerative farms, such as Gianforte Farms and Hudson Valley Hops & Grains. Located in Gowanus, BGM operates a bakery that mills grain on-site using two 40" stone mills made by Vermont-based New American Stone Mills. The bakery prepares fresh bread, pastries, sandwiches, topped focaccia, and sweet treats and also sells whole grain kernels, stone milled whole grain flour, stone milled sifted flour, and a variety of soil-enriching legumes. In addition to sourcing, milling, and selling whole grains from regional farms, BGM tests many different varieties of grains available and offers educational workshops.
