organic mushroom share from BIG APPLE fungi

Dutch Kills CSA is happy to partner with Big Apple Fungi, a small, family-run mushroom farm in Forest Hills. Big Apple Fungi grows more than a dozen varieties of specialty mushrooms.

Mushroom shares are purchased on our website through the CSA store. Here’s how the share is structured in 2026:

• Pickup is every other week, starting June 16, for a total of 12 pickups.

• Specific pickup dates: June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28, August 11, August 25, September 8, September 22, October 6, October 20, November 3, and November 17.

• At each pickup, you receive a 1 lb. share. The share comprises a medley of 6 or 7 kinds of mushrooms packed in a small cardboard box.

• Varieties include: Shiitake; Lion’s Mane; Golden, Blue, and Pink Oyster; Shimeji (or Brown Beach); Pioppino; King Trumpet; and Maitake.
