organic vegetable share from hepworth farmS

  • Our 2024 season runs for 24 weeks, from June 11 to November 19.

  • Hepworth offers both a Regular and a Family Veggie Share. Both shares are pre-boxed. The Family Share has 4 to 7 additional vegetables (see description below). Click here to see photos of our 2023 weekly Regular Veggie and Fruit shares.

  • The prices for 24 weeks of vegetables in our CHECK STORE are:

    • Regular Share: $710 (equivalent to $29.58 per week)

    • Family Share: $940 (equivalent to $39.17 per week)

It would cost you much more if you purchased these vegetables at a farmers’ market.

  • The prices in our CREDIT CARD STORE are 3% higher:

    • Regular Share: $731 (equivalent to $30.46 per week)

    • Family Share: $968 (equivalent to $40.33 per week)

  • Dutch Kills CSA charges an annual $35 membership fee to support our operations. (If you purchase your membership in our Credit Card Store it will cost $36.50.) If you buy a Fruit Share together with a Veggie Share, you will charged only one membership fee. Please remember to add the membership fee to your cart at checkout.

  • You can split your share with a share partner. If you are looking for a share partner, please post your search on our Facebook page. Or you can contact us, and we will help you find a share partner.

  • For the Regular Share, each week you will receive 10 to 18 different items in your share. Early in the season you can expect to get lots of greens, which are light and weigh less. Later in the season you’ll get potatoes, carrots, broccoli, and eggplants, which are heavier.

  • For the Family Share, you will receive 14 to 25 different items in your share. In June you might get extra greens, radishes, and maybe potatoes. In July and August you might get extra zucchini, kale, cucumbers, peppers, and corn … but not all in one week! In September and October you might get extra tomatoes, eggplants, kale, and squash. By November the extras would probably be mostly kale, Brussels sprouts, turnips, and squash.

  • You can find Recipes and Produce/Storage Tips in the RESOURCES section of our website.

  • The vegetables in both the Regular and Family Veggie Shares will be pre-boxed.

  • Our distributions are outside. We practice social distancing, and if you are wearing a mask when you pick up, our volunteers will also wear a mask.

  • Dutch Kills CSA is a volunteer-run organization. The volunteer requirement is three shifts for each share. If you order both a Veggie and a Fruit Share, you need to work only three shifts, not six! Please read our Volunteer section for more information.
